We verify tutors, let parents search locally or online worldwide, and connect the two sides directly on WhatsApp. Our platform fee is ₹0, forever.
Mentr is built by Paprly, the team behind simple, free business tools for founders and growing teams. Post a requirement and tutors pitch you, or search the directory and send a connect request yourself. Either way, numbers stay private until you accept — then you arrange everything directly.
What Mentr does
Mentr is a tutor–parent connector, not a tuition agency. We do not employ tutors, set session fees, or take a cut from classes. Parents and students use Mentr to discover verified tutors by subject and area, send connect requests, or post learning requirements where tutors pitch interest. Faculty use Mentr to list profiles, manage availability, and respond to requests — all without buying lead credits.

How tutor verification works
Before a faculty profile goes live, we verify phone and identity (Phase 1 is manual review). Live listings show a Verified badge. Verification reduces fake or anonymous spam accounts; it does not certify teaching skill, board results, or background checks beyond what we state on the profile. Parents should still review subjects, experience, and fit before hiring.
Phone numbers stay hidden until a tutor accepts a parent's connect request (or a parent accepts a pitch on a requirement). That consent step is how we keep contact spam low without charging either side for unlocks.
How Mentr stays free
There is no platform commission on tuition fees and no lead coins for tutors. Core marketplace features — search, profiles, connect requests, and the requirements flow — are free for parents and faculty. Public marketing and guide pages may show Google AdSense ads; logged-in dashboards do not. Optional profile boosts may be offered later for visibility, but contact itself stays free.
Beyond the marketplace, Mentr publishes free education tools and educational guides, plus Mentr Learn for Class 3–5 coding and AI literacy. Those products exist to help families and teachers even if they never hire through the directory.
Who we are
Mentr by Paprly is a product of Paprly (paprly.in). We are a small distributed team building free tools for education and business. Mentr's codebase is open source under the MIT license — anyone can audit how the platform works on our open source page.
